Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toni Gonzalez-Collins, a Mexican-American sportscaster. She works as an ESPN anchor for news and also hosts SportsNation often. She joined ESPN in 2016. Her family relocated from Mexico to Miami in 1992 following the departure from Mexico. The couple divorced shortly after and her mother got married to a naval architect called Fabio Fajardo who passed away from kidney cancer in 2006. In the summer of the year 2006, Antonietta took one week with her sibling at Canton Ohio. The older Collins girl worked there. Antonietta, a high-school senior with an idea of what she wanted her future to look like, traveled to Mount Union University to see whether the university was suitable for her. At the end of the day she fell in love with the campus. And they offered her an academic major. After high school, she graduated and enrolled into media school at the university. Mark Bergmann - her professor was also the station director of WRMU (91.1 FM) which was where she felt at home. He was the one who boosted her confidence, and his passion for Journalism deeply touched her. She strived to fulfill his expectations, never letting him down.
